The Sole De Janeiro Bum Bum Body Scrub is like buffing your skin with soft wet intensely scented sand. It is extremely fine. Think of the powdery soft sand you would find on the beach, wet it down, and you have the texture. When I opened my generously oversized 7.7oz orange jar, I didn't get the lovely swirl on top. Mine was all clumped to the disk insert in the lid. The scrub, which is comprised of mostly coconut oil and finely milled sugar, is gentle enough for near-all-over body use, and hydrating. I especially love the way it feels on my feet. The signature fragrance of the product is a hint heavy for me. I'm scent sensitive, and often times just the intense smell of a product will put me off from wanting to use it, regardless of how nice it is. Seeing as this is intended for the shower, I rush through the experience and rinse it off quickly and soap up with my regular unscented soap after to hinder the scent from lingering on my skin. I wish they made an unscented or lightly scented version of this product for people like me who easily get headaches from intense fragrance. Aside from the intense smell, this is a lovely body scrub. There is nothing course or unpleasant about the feel of the product.
