The camera left a very mixed impression. 1. Video. Very decent in good lighting. In low light, the image loses its sharpness significantly. I suspect that it is intentional to blur the noise and thereby reduce the bitrate. The stabilizer is very decent, but the quality of its work depends on fps. At 50 frames per second, it works, one might say, perfectly. At 200 frames per second - much worse. Hence the conclusion - if you plan to shoot in good lighting and at 30-50 frames / sec - everything should be fine, the camera is very suitable. 2. BATTERY is a nightmare - I wrote about this above. 3. Software and work with a computer. And suspicions that the software is very unoptimized in the camera itself turn into confidence that the programming department is very bad there. Installed their application on android. And then the thrash began. The application sees the camera, but does not want to connect to it. That, the connection "is", but nothing happens. And everything like that. After a couple of hours of such "enjoyment", I managed to set a name for the camera, ate its firmware and once see a preview of the files contained inside. Another in a series of "misunderstandings": to establish a connection with the phone, they use both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth at the same time. What for? Despite the fact that in the chamber every drop of energy counts. 4. Complete with fasteners. It would be funny if it weren't so sad. The kit includes a pair of pads (flat and bent) for attaching to the helmet with Velcro. But there is NO threaded tripod mount, which is very relevant. Is this saving plastic (despite the fact that the cost of such a "device" is a and a half)? No. In the package, the camera is attached to a huge piece of plastic, which would be enough for three such mounts. Obviously, and here they wanted to cut the dough for an "additional device." In fairness, we can say that if you carefully tear off this plastic from the package, remove the excess, then it can be used as a kind of mini tripod. But this is already a "circle of skillful hands."
- + Video quality in good lighting. + Good stabilization at low fps. + Dimensions (although the weight in the existing dimensions is rather small - the impression is that half of the volume is occupied by an iron blank)
- BATTERY is a failure. The new native battery works in shooting mode for only about 60 minutes! At the same time, if the camera is not turned off completely, then in standby mode, even with the screen turned off, the battery is consumed quite actively. At the same time, a lot of energy is wasted: it heats up quite well in shooting mode and even when it is turned on, but does practically nothing, it is also noticeably warm. Obviously, this speaks of unoptimized hardware and, most importantly, software. What do we get as a result? With one standard battery pack, you can only go to shoot a pre-planned scene. For all sorts of searches for plans, waiting for moments and other arts, there may simply not be enough battery. And for the shooting of "everything in a row" it certainly will not be enough. And then there is a related problem. Because Since the operating time is calculated not in hours, but in minutes, then you constantly have to remember that the battery will soon run out and you will need to change it. And to do this, let's say, during a free fall at a height of a kilometer above the ground will be a little difficult. And therefore, you will screw up the shooting. In summary: to the box battery, you just need to buy 2-3 additional batteries and a charger for them (otherwise it will take you all day to charge them one at a time). And this (let's take off-prices on off-site) 2*30$ + 65$. Those. even more than a third of the price of the camera itself for more or less comfortable shooting in the field during the day. And it's usb charging. You can also buy a power supply for accelerated charging, but this is another $ plus. - The work of programmers. The firmware of the camera is still back and forth, although it is far from ideal. But external software is just a finish. Up to its complete inoperability. - There is no threaded tripod mount included. But there is a "very necessary" quite a serious attachment to the packing box. - Expensive for a set with existing jambs and the need to spend another half the cost of this camera in order to be able to shoot normally not only near the outlet.
