Review on Arko Shaving Soap Stick White by Lindsey Scott

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Thick, rich and easy to lather!

I have been using this shaving soap for a long time. I keep a wand in a large medicine bottle in my travel shaving kit. At home I use a shaving bucket to whip up shaving cream. I don't want to take a bucket with me when traveling because of the weight and the possibility of breaking a ceramic bucket. This soap lasts a long time if you use facial foam. Wet your face, then run the wand over your beard. Then take a badger hair comb dipped in hot water, wring out the excess water and simply apply to your face. A very thick foam forms and I still have enough cream in the brush for a second shave. I bought this set of 12 because one is cheap and two I can add to my shaving soap rotation without depriving my shaving kit. . I decided to grind the stick and then stick it in an empty soap container. It worked very well. After sanding just one stick, I still have room to load the brush without making a mess. After loading the brush, I swirl it around in my bucket for about 60 seconds to get a thick, thick lather. This soap has a distinct smell that reminds me of a bar of soap. I really like the smell for a change. One of my favorite shaving soaps is Taylor of Old Bond Street. Any taste. It has very good lubrication and rich lather. I would put this Arko on par with Taylor except it's not as smooth. This is a good buy. Give it a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.
