Surprisingly, this $20 LED bulb is NOT dimmable. They don't bother mentioning it online. And it's really a shame. The lamp is cute but simplified in its design. LED bulbs need a controller to run on household electricity. A controller that works with dimmers is a bit more complex (and therefore more expensive) than a controller without dimmers. When buying LED bulbs (e.g. regular screws in stock), dimmable bulbs are a bit more expensive due to the slightly more expensive controller. cost) for a better controller, at least they should mention it when selling these lights. But with a retail price of $20 in their profit range, there's certainly room for a better controller. After this lamp arrived from Revain I removed the old lamp (which had a pair of dimmable 60 watt Phillips bulbs) and connected the new lamp using the modern Lutron dimmer that was used with the old lamp. This lamp turns on and off when the Lutron dimmer is operating. I can't tell you how annoying it is to have to remove that old chandelier and replace it with one that just turns on and off. The same dimmer worked perfectly with a 60w Phillips screw bulb in the original fixture I was replacing. Revain has a similar lamp that is (they say) dimmable. I would certainly not have ordered the lamp I bought if it had been said beforehand that it is not dimmable. Very very disappointed.
