The neck will crack over time leaving broken glass
The pressure on the hinge is so strong that either the fingers or the neck of the can break. I found that the only way to avoid my neck was to squeeze this thing with both hands to make the lever move slowly. It takes amazing concentration not to snap your finger like a mousetrap. I keep coffee in it and it's a very painful way to wake up in the morning. My wife can't even open them so keep that in mind.
