Review on Keyboard A4Tech KV-300H gray by Wiktor Paul ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Average purchase, there is something to complain about.

In general, the keyboard is worth the money and for printing, or office work, a little play is quite a worthy option. If you do not look closely, do not feel it, it looks very expensive and stylish. I personally did not fit for several factors that are important to me: The keys are flat, in fact, concavity is needed for classic membrane keyboards where it is important to press the center of the key, for the scissor it is not relevant, press at least along the edges. But I'm used to confidently put my fingers on these concavities in games. There are not enough keys to cut copy paste, but this is for the best, it is better to get used to using counter x c v a. There is a lack of multimedia keys: volume control, shutdown and sleep buttons. I repeat, this is already my taste and habit, I'm sure for many these buttons are not needed. In principle, the second Windows button is absolutely superfluous on the keyboard, in its place put the FN button, simple software and stickers with symbols and we get a comfortable keyboard ala laptop There is not enough mouse wheel for the left hand (I'm used to when the right hand gets tired of long work, you scroll with the left, since the wheel was wide on the old clave, under three fingers :) Well, and most importantly, I'm a pig, I can sharpen a couple of sandwiches at the computer, and spill coffee, for this model it's death. The usual membrane can be disassembled and cleaned like new. So the keyboard is leaving for the office or for sale, I haven’t really decided yet. (Typed with a4tech kv 300 dark gray with almost no errors or typos)

Pros
  • Scissor mechanism, small clear key travel. Relative noiselessness (I compare it with the old hails. In laptops, the keyboard is much quieter). The keys do not warp, you can press the very edge of the spacebar and it will work. 2 Compactly spaced discreet USB 2.0 Really thin and narrow, no need for a wrist rest. Heavy. On the table stands monolithic due to the weight and 5 rubber legs. Decent space between the keys. The keys are pleasantly rough. The layout is standard, large shifts, there is a menu button.
Cons
  • Long keys are much louder than square ones. The overall quality of materials and assembly is poor, although there is a middle leg in the center, the keyboard still flexes. Mine is slightly curved and goes in a wave down the middle if you don't look along the bottom line and you won't notice. Everything creaks, you press lightly with your finger on the side next to the key, "creak" Under the space, again a creak (which is drowned out by a noisy space). The indicators are 7 dots that should glow evenly. In fact, 4-5 dots glow evenly, the rest are crooked, either plastic flashes remain, or they are smeared with paint. Latin and 2022 layouts are applied in one color, not engraved. USB are not very conveniently located, on the sides, if you insert a USB flash drive on the left, the stand does not move, on the right it starts to interfere with the mouse. Very demanding on cleanliness.
