Useless on a Shih Tzu
In no universe are these powerful enough for thick coats. We have two Shih Tzu. One has thick hair and the other has a relatively normal coat thickness. I tried them on our the normal haired dog first and it couldn't even handle cutting that. It cut, but it would have taken hours just to trim a small amount of fur. I attempted to use them on our thicker hair dog and it was useless. I've cut their hair a for a long time and these were the worst clippers I've used.
