Excited about this new 3ds xl! I was planning on getting the old one because it was cheaper, but was told that Nintendo plans to release exclusive games for the new 3ds, so I might as well get the new one now rather than later. Inside. I love the contrast of white and black, and the black buttons on the white DS just remind me of the Stormtrooper color scheme. The only downside is the glossy finish of the DS case, so beware, it's a fingerprint magnet! Also, the design is nice and subtle, you have to put it in the right lighting to see the design, but I still like it. I haven't played any games that use the new c stick for the z keys so no comment on that but the 3d effects have improved in this 3ds! I've found that whenever there's a huge cinematic scene in Fire Emblem games, I turn on the 3D effect. It is also a pity that this device does not come with a charger. I read somewhere that Nintendo removed the charger because they believe most of their users already have a charger from their previous ds (same charger for old 3ds and dsi). However this is actually my first 3ds device (previously I had a ds lite) so I had to buy my own charger but it was $8.99 so I guess it wasn't that bad but I would still like it to have.
