I am a 50 year old woman who still likes to look sexy while being comfortable. Thanks to COVID and changing hormones, I am a size bigger than I was last year, so needed to replace all my shorts including my favorite pair of denim cutoffs. Off to the mall I went to try on cute distressed cutoffs like these. There was nothing — NOTHING — that looked even remotely ok and most of them looked ridiculous. I can’t even. So I came home all dejected and decided to order these. I AM SO GLAD I DID! They fit like *normal* clothes, not right up under my ribcage… and the stretch makes them super comfortable. The distressing makes them look on-trend but it isn’t too much for casual summertime. I am between a medium and a large in most bottoms, depending on brand, and got a large because I didn’t want them super tight. Did I mention they are comfortable? Not only that, but the length, on me (I’m 5’3”) is just right. They make my butt and legs look great. If you are taller or uncomfortable with short shorts then these may be too short for you. But they aren’t indecent. I’ll wear them for casual hanging out. For reference I am a curvy 135 pounds, 5’3” - and got a large for a comfy fit.
