finally got this item after 5 years of trying to make USB connections to my iMac. The product looks very high-quality and looks great with the aluminum iMac, as well as the keyboard and trackpad. You might think this is an Apple OEM product. The item was beautifully packaged in a box and both items were sealed in plastic. Includes a white cable instead of the traditional black, which blends in well with the look of Apple products. The item has a small round hole on the back, like it's lined, don't know what it's for. It's also a little difficult to keep it stable, a small amount of 3M mounting squares fixed that. There was no negligible time difference when using this hub compared to the built in USB ports. Copy 1.35GB of photos from a USB hub. It took 53 seconds for the computer and 2 minutes 43 seconds to write the same amount of data from the computer to the USB hub. When directly connecting a USB flash drive to the onboard USB port, it took 54 seconds to transfer data from USB to a computer and 2 minutes 39 seconds to transfer from a computer to USB. According to the user manual: devices with high power consumption are not recommended; nor is it intended as a standalone charger. iPad and other devices with custom charging requirements are not compatible.
