During the day when there's a bunch in and out of my car it's mostly unnoticeable, but after the night I'm always surprised at how fresh my car smells. If the smell of ozone or ionized air irritates you, this is not for you. I even notice it on my clothes after being in the car for a long time, but I like that smell so it's normal for me. UPDATE: This unit has been running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for a few months. Still works great, doesn't affect my car battery and charges my phone. Worth every penny!
