Today's patterns don't go into the detail they are used to, so a beginner may need to find some basic sewing information when trying one of these cute patterns for the first time assembles pajamas. But in general, sewing is pretty easy. The only thing I would warn about is the size range: small-large does NOT mean Chihuahua German Shepherd; More specifically, it means Chihuahua pug, a smaller breed. Without significant adjustments, these patterns are not appropriate for a large dog. I had to increase the L size to accommodate a 35lb medium sized dog.
