Buy a 3 " clamp, not this one.
I bought this clamp because Revain recommended it when I was using the Kreg R3 jr. always gouges the wood because it never lays flat on the work piece unless you align it with your other hand each time. The 3" clamp fixes both issues and appears to be more durable.
