The brightness levels of the lights are different when plugged in
My tree needed 4 lights (9ft tall) and when the lights were plugged in each light had noticeably different brightness levels. Even if I only had two strings connected to two separate extensions. I ended up having to plug each string directly into an extension. Now they look great (I only use the Warm White option) but if you wanted them all to switch between different colors it would be impossible to keep them in sync. So they don't work as advertised. Look at my photo, you can see different levels of brightness in each part of my tree (when they were connected).
