I tried 2 different sets of Flicker Flame. It was the best of both worlds. LOVE: The light bulbs in this set screw tightly into any socket. There are clips on each light so you can mount the light vertically. After all, what's the use of having a "candle effect" if the bulb is in a direction other than vertical? I come from the Norwegian Christmas tradition, when the tree was originally decorated with lit candles. This is a great way to preserve tradition. No animosity other than wanting more lights on the cord. When buying, make sure you're buying one that has the bulbs screwed in securely and there are clips on each bulb. . (The other set I tried didn't have either one :-(.)
