Purchased May 6, 2015. In the yard on August 25, 2015 and today I decided to overheat the USB cable on the micro USB side. After 5 minutes when it was connected to my phone it got so hot the plastic started to melt and bubbled and dripped onto the bedside table. I grabbed my phone and pulled the cable about 3 inches from the fusion line and still managed to burn my fingers on the cable itself. I have to give it 1 star but I chose 2 because up until today's accidental literal catastrophic meltdown it was a really high quality, durable cable. My phone is fine and works with other USB cables with no problems.
