I bought this screen for a Cyberdeck project I was just building. But apparently powering it and outputting HDMI from the same little computer was a huge mistake. This could be an issue with the Intel NUCs OR the screen itself. But for my project to work, I had to supply 5V from a completely different source than the computer I was building, even though it was designed for USB 2.0 ports and had enough current to run it. Therefore, be CAREFUL when turning on the device. It's via USB and feeds video from the same computer. Voltage feedback may occur after the PC is switched off. I blew up (2) Intel Nuc computers while experimenting with this monitor through no fault of my own before finding out. The project was REALLY successful after I disconnected my power rails and plugged the monitor into a separate USB power supply that I provided. But I won't do that again. The screen is bright, nicely balanced, the speakers are powerful. Plus a handy headphone jack. It would be great if it didn't cost me two computers. The only other downside would be timing issues. When restarting the computer sometimes it doesn't register a signal and I have to manually press the power button and turn it back on. It's annoying but doesn't break the deal. Here is a picture of the finished cyberdeck with this monitor. I'm very happy with the size and features it offers.
