Installed a Wyze Cam in the front door. To power it without looking like crap, I drilled a hole next to the door frame as a conduit for the USB cable. The finishing touch is white putty on the inside and gray putty on the outside of the hole. And because the color of the cable matched my baseboard strip exactly, I used small dots of Gorilla Glue every few feet along the door frame and the top of the strip to keep it secure. The cable has practically disappeared into the bar. In short, the lady is happy. I was impressed with the ability of this cable to carry 5V that far. In fact, I tried a 25ft cable, originally planning to go the other way. The camera worked great with this cable. I have personal experience designing and sizing conductors for devices that require 5V DC and let me tell you that distance is not your friend.
