It didn't work for us. I have 9 cats and I don't want them on the kitchen table. I wish the rugs were shorter and wider. They are good as couches but too long for counters. The sound signal does not help to turn them off. You will jump on it and stay on it as long as it beeps all the time! I had it on the loudest setting and my two cats decided to lay on it and keep squeaking! Damn scares people, but not them! I set it to the lowest shock setting. Nothing. 2nd place, it's shocking for a second, they kind of jump back, but everyone learned that if they walk carefully, they won't get electrocuted. Sigh. Damn smart cats.
