Review on WACOOL 3L 3 Liter 100oz BPA-Free EVA Hydration Pack Bladder with Leak-Proof Water Reservoir by Savoeun Ramirez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Why was this 1 star rating changed to 4 stars?

I am increasing my original rating from 1 to 4 stars. Here's why: 1) I originally gave this hydrator only 1 star because it didn't fit the primary purpose of the product's intended use; namely, to keep the water inside. When I filled in water for the first time, I had a leak right in the filler cap area and I was visibly disappointed. If it was leaking, none of the other features like the attachment hose or the mouthpiece cover mattered. 2) WACOOL customer service contacted me because I was looking for a way to return it and not only sent me a new one but also offered me a refund. That's nothing short of GREAT customer service, I'll give it another star simply based on the support and 100% support for their hardware. Even if I decided I didn't like the reservoir for some reason, it didn't cost me anything to try it a second time, so I automatically gave 2 stars for WACOOL's excellent customer service.3) 3 stars. WACOOL sent me a new replacement. and i checked it. He licked too, although not as much as the first. [Note: I have not tested these cylinders for capacity at this time, nor have I applied any appreciable pressure to the cylinder itself, like you might do in a backpack or on the back of a camel.] I have experimented with different amounts of water in the cylinder . Bubble, and the closer I got to the "reservoir", the more it tended to leak a little around the lid. Again, not as noticeable as the first time, but enough to be annoying and know that my gear will eventually get wet. HERE I FOUND THE SOLUTION! Having just spent another half hour messing up the counter and about to give up, I made another attempt: I took the cap off one of my old Nalgene bottles and tried it on my hydration bladder. Result: NO LEAKAGE! At the moment my Nalgene is capless now but as the reason for buying a hydration pack was to increase my carrying capacity and get rid of the hard plastic bin in my pack. It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. This is where other features like locking tube, mouthpiece cap, you can remove the tube even with a full hydration bladder, the slide open/close access at the top actually makes a difference now that the hydration bladder isn't leaking through it. All of this earned the product a 3rd star. 4) The 4th star was given because after finding the Nalgene cap to fit and fixing the leak problem, I filled it to capacity and started giving life to it. low pressure test. ok i was probably close to overloading my bladder at this point to see how much pressure it would take for it to fail. and it isn't. Not only that, I've never had any issues with leakage at the top fold of the open/close slider, which is pretty impressive. Also this time I tested it for strength. I became more confident with the material and stitching of the bladder and was impressed with how much pressure it can take. I don't know exactly how many pounds I put on him, but it was at least 10-15 on the conservative side, and that's with a full bladder. **) I didn't give 5 stars for the following reasons: I had to sacrifice a bottle of Nalgene to get a cap that didn't leak. Also, the measurement markings on the hydration reservoir are slightly offset and it doesn't really hold 3L in the hydration reservoir: I accurately measured 3L in 1L increments and was unable to ingest 3L without pouring a little to close the hydration reservoir. GENERAL: This is a good hydration bladder. I'm happy now that I changed the lid and the customer support from WACOOL has been great. I will probably buy another WACOOL camera simply because their service was great.
