After purchasing and returning a pair of hanging bug traps that did absolutely nothing, it was such a pleasure to have this thing running in the middle of an abusive swarm of flies has been taunting me since weeks and hears 5 or 6 kill shots. Another swing, a few more dead flies. The rest, if anyone survived, took the clue and went to another location. The little swarm came back a few hours later and I've killed a few more and I haven't noticed anything except for the occasional lone fly which doesn't bother me. If you have flies or other insects swarming around certain spots like trash cans, pet food bowls, or just in the middle of the room in front of the TV, this works really well. Enough power to kill small and medium insects. . If you could slide a moth or larger insect through the mesh they would also end up roasted to death but that would be very sad and would smell very bad. Love the little round stand it comes with to keep it upright while charging or just storing it. .I really like the rechargeable lithium battery. A few years ago I had a fly swatter that ran on Type-C batteries and cost a fortune. The build quality seems really solid. I expect this to last a long time.
