Review on Thera Cane MAX Trigger Massager by Sherita Dixon

Not suitable for a small woman - great for my tall son

I was looking for an S hook recommended by my doctor to relieve a trigger point. I read the reviews until I got a squint and finally ordered this Theracane. He arrived safely. A little (well, a lot) harder than I expected, I gave it a try anyway. Despite following the instructions, I injured my neck and couldn't move for 3 days. I left it thereafter until I could take it to my next job application and my document showed me how to use it properly. He was not enthusiastic about it, for my needs. I say all this to warn others like me. I am a short woman with FMS and Myofascial Pain Syndrome. This device is too heavy and the surface area of the balls is too small, which hurt me. The shape of the stick isn't the most useful for me either. This was NOT a problem with the device itself, it just didn't work for me. On the other hand, my son, who is much taller than me, with big shoulder and back muscles, was visiting his family one day. I didn't tell him because I thought he would say I was stupid. I should have known better; he massages his wife when her muscles cramp. She can't return it because his muscles are too big. Not fat, not a bodybuilder, just fat. He happened to see Theracane on a chair, picked him up and used him on his shoulder. He didn't even know what it was, he just thought it looked like what he wanted. He ended up taking it home and finally he has something to untangle those deep knots with. What I can say now is that my son loves it. I don't know exactly what he would say in a review, but he was pretty happy when it came out here. I'm halfway to finding a basic S hook without dolly knots all over the place. It doesn't cost $30. Hope this helps someone.
