I bought these lights (2 sets) to use for general lighting and mainly for emergency lighting in my RV in case we need to get out quickly. The description says the remote controls all the lights when you are within 20ft. That may be true, but you have to point the remote (it has IR illumination) directly at the puck's light. Because of this, all pucks are not controlled at the same time unless they are in the stack you are pointing to. So I can't use them as emergency lights because the IR remote doesn't transmit through walls and it's too inconvenient. Point the remote control at each puck light to light them up. That big issue aside, the lights are bright and beautiful if you're willing to turn them all on independently.
