Awkward installation - AWESOME color and light quality

I've just installed 3 of these so can't comment on their longevity or longevity but we were very disappointed with many of the LEDs. The bulbs are there because of the high-frequency flickering (barely noticeable, but still annoying) and the harsh color temperature. (Yes, we went for expensive Hue bulbs from the start and still use them to this day - they're great too, but not every bulb in my house needs to be $60 and be able to be every color imaginable...). Anyhow, they look good naked, the color is nice and relaxing - really good for switching off at night, especially if you dim the bulb to around 25% and the flicker is imperceptible to my eye. And the price is reasonable for a lightbulb. Setup was a little frustrating as the software couldn't detect my network the first time and I was forced to factory reset the lightbulb to start the process again. I spent about an hour getting this to work (see below), but even after that the Kasa Home app complained that it couldn't successfully complete the setup. As I already have other Kasa devices I have the app on both iPad and iPhone and so far I've installed it on iPad - when I opened the app on iPhone the lightbulb was there! The setup process went really well. Force quitting the iPad app and restarting it also showed a successfully configured lightbulb. These bulbs are amazingly dimmable - but only with an app! They don't respond at all to traditional switch dimmers (at least the ones we have, which obviously work great with incandescent bulbs and passably with other supposedly dimmable LEDs we've tried). Regarding the reset issues: after googling. How to reset the lightbulbs so they flash 3 times again after the setup process failed the first time although I followed the instructions I initially had trouble resetting them. Here's what worked for me: 1. Put the bulb in a lamp with a simple switch or a regular switch with no dimming.2. turn it on Wait 5-10 seconds.3. Power off-on - 5 times.4. Leave it on for the 5th rep. After a few seconds, it will flash 3 times to confirm the reset. I couldn't get the "3 times" (soft reset) pattern to work. 5 times is a factory reset, but since I only installed them the first time I had nothing to lose by doing a factory reset.
