I'll get straight to the point. I don't know if this applies to everyone or if mine was just defective, but the tab that snaps onto one of the teeth to hold the bike in the locked position was so loose that I bumped into the tab came off the teeth and my bike fell to the ground. This might not be a big deal to you if you store your bike in a garage, but since I live in a cramped area where small dogs roam my biggest fear is this thing failing and my dogs getting hurt. Remove the tongue, bend it closer to the teeth so that it is more even. After that it seems pretty stable. If you buy this item, make sure you take a good look at it before putting your bike on it. Or are you looking for something else.
