Review on Match Women'S Long Sleeve Flannel Plaid Shirt by Mike Nix

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Overall a good shirt to make you look put together

First, for fit reference purposes, I am 5'9", long limbs and an athletic build (small chest but wider lat/back muscles). I typically would wear a Small in shirts and the Small was true to size. I took a photo both with the shirt at full length and then with the little sleeve and side tabs buttoned. (Please excuse the wrinkles on the shirt in my photos. I put it on right out of the package). This is overall a good shirt! If I rate something 5 stars, to me that means it is my new favorite and I recommend it to everyone I know. This is a really good shirt but not mindblowing, hence my 4 star rating. Here are the pros and cons:PROS:* This shirt is really good if you are tall and/or have long limbs. It could almost be considered 'tunic length' if you are short. It will probably cover your behind if that's what you're looking for. The sleeves are long enough and for me as a tall female, that's hard to find! If you are very short you might swim in this shirt though.* The stripes are crisp and attractive. Will go with any color pants. Shirt is versatile where it could be worn as a dress shirt or a more casual shirt. Be aware that this striped shirt is not 'flannel' but rather a thick-ish cotton.* Material is comfortable. I wore it moving around all day at a moderately physical job where I am reaching, bending, etc. and felt good but not overheated.* I love shirts where they have the little tabbed things and you can roll up the sleeves and button them. I just like how that looks.CONS:*The buttonholes for the sleeve tabs and side tabs seem too small. I found it extremely difficult to button them with one hand.* The shirt does wrinkle kind of easily. I don't own an iron, so you could certainly iron it, but after just getting out of my car to drive to work, the back was a bit wrinkled. Not terrible though.OTHER RANDOM OBSERVATIONS:*The chest pockets do not actually button. They are functional though as pockets.* I am not sure how to properly wear this shirt with the side tabs buttoned up and not look sloppy. Either it is going to show whatever tank top I wear under it (which is okay) yet the front and back tails are just hanging out, or I have to tuck the entire thing in, but that look also seems weird. I personally wear it with sleeves rolled but the shirt tails at full length.

Pros
  • The relaxed fit of the shirt is flattering on a variety of body types
Cons
  • The shirt may be prone to static and cling to the body
