Some flaws are good for professional video accessories

Coming from Ulanzi U rig Metal, there are some differences in case someone compares them. Ulanzi is much larger and thicker as seen in the photos. Ulanzi has small but subtle built-in handles. For SmallRig, you really need to buy a pen. Ulanzi has a better camera mount that is much easier to use. Lens settings are similarly useful. Smallrig has 2 screws to adjust lens mount position, Ulanzi does the same job with one screw. Why did I buy a small device when I have Ulanzi? Two really nice features. Like Ulanzi, the Small Rig cannot use the 52mm lens filter mount with an anamorphic lens. The edge of the filter is slightly sloped because it touches the lens mount adjustment knob, just like the Ulanzi. But the SmallRig handle doesn't hit as hard as the Ulanzi setup, and if you don't mind tilting your filter about 10 degrees, it works fine. flexible and the position of the phone is reproducible. I mean on the small rig I mount my phone all the way to the right and then adjust the lens mount. This creates a repeatable mount without the need to adjust the lens mount with each use. My phone is mostly a phone and sometimes a camera. When I take the phone out and put it back in the rig, it's very easy to line it up without worrying about the lens mount. Finally, when used with an Ulanzi Moment mount anamorphic lens, the mount is not tight. I can tell if the problem is with the Ulanzi lens or the small rig. But it's easy enough to fix with tape. I just want to add that the big difference between these two setups and say a beast cage or a helium cage is that they are more versatile. If you change your phone in the future, the mount and lens will likely still fit. Ulanzi/Small Rig can be used with a slim body. So if you like. I don't want to take the phone out of the case every time, then it's better. But a custom cage like the BeastCage/Helium is much more compact and sleek.
