I bought them to add a drawstring to the hood of my zip up sweatshirt. I don't know why Carhartt couldn't include them as they are quite cheap in bulk. Considering I paid $70 for the sweater I would have thought it would be somewhat standard. It's better than tying a knot or fishing them back out of the holes. The drawstring on my sweatshirt is quite thick and they barely fit on it. I'm not sure what I'm going to use the other eight for. But I will have spares if I ever need them or if some of the stuff I have on my sweaters and coats gets torn. Overall very satisfied and would recommend. I would buy again if I need more.
