Review on Mengshen Blocking Anti Hacking Protector Wireless by Matt Travers

Doesn't work to block signals from car keys.

This didn't help to block the RFID. The reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one is because I didn't use it for its intended purpose (blocking cell phone signals) but used it as a car key. . . While I'm skeptical based on my experience, I assume it can work for a cell phone (maybe there's a difference between "RF" and "RFID" signals, or maybe a key that fob transmits does a stronger signal than a cell phone?). If you're considering buying this to protect your car key so others can't access your car with signal boosters, don't. I was nervous about buying a car with one of those key fobs where you don't actually have to take the keys out or press any buttons on the remote to open the door, start the car, open the trunk from the outside, etc. Me have read articles online that people can amplify the signal and gain access to (or worse, steal) your car even if the fob itself is up to 80 meters away. I bought this hoping that if I put a key fob in it it would block the RFID signal and prevent this from happening. The signal was not blocked as I was able to open my car with the fob/key in my suitcase and purse. (Slightly relevant: now I like that the car doesn't have a key... I don't have to fumble around the parking lot for keys in my purse etc... and I'm less paranoid about the signal amplification thing... so maybe it's for the best, this product didn't suit me)

Pros
  • Anti-Theft
Cons
  • Generally good, but...
