These pliers are just what I need for straightening wire and beading needles. (<--Tip: With regular chain pliers, hold the needle in one hand and use these nylon straightening pliers just as you would regular or precious metal wire.) They also come in handy when making spirals. After making the first loop with round nose pliers, I use the tips of my nylon pliers to grab the loop and begin the spiral. It works very well and doesn't dent my metal. Note. The nylon material on the inside of the pliers will "buckle" and become uneven with normal use. Just get some sandpaper as needed to smooth them out and make sure the nylon on each jaw stays in close contact with the other jaw from tip to knuckle.
