The first thing to note is the list of ingredients: Vaseline, Paraffin, PVP, Eicosine Copolymer. In fact, it is an occlusive material. It does not moisturize the skin, but when applied to damp skin it locks in moisture. If you have sensitive skin these are great ingredients. Note, however, that petroleum jelly is cheaper and essentially the same. The petroleum jelly seems a little heavier to me, the paraffin blend in this formula makes the consistency a little lighter (but still greasy). I did a chemical peel, after which the skin needs to be lubricated. I can't stand the feel of heavy Vaseline or Aquaphor all over my face, but the texture of this product is more bearable. Still very oily but I need to smear after a chemical peel. The container is good and allows you to pour a very small amount at a time. To be honest I'm not sure I would buy it again just because these ingredients are not expensive and petroleum jelly is a lot cheaper.
