Five of these templates are good for decorating multiple 8" x 10" reusable gift bags. The stencils are more flexible than I would like, meaning it's easy to accidentally tuck them under the edges of the stencil when using a marker or pencil. Especially the two biggest stars can be difficult for children to use because the edges are very flexible. But they seem pretty strong, not that they'll break with normal use. When I finished my project I soaked the stencils in rubbing alcohol to remove ink residue and they came out clean with no damage. However, I couldn't use the tiny star spiral template since most stars are so small that my thin Bic pencils wouldn't fit. Even if I had ultra-thin markers handy, coloring in all those tiny stars would be tedious and time-consuming. This particular stencil might work if you use paint and make all the stars the same color so you can just spray paint or brush over the entire surface of the stencil, but otherwise it's pretty impractical.
