My old dog sticks to all rugs now which we tried to avoid! Our 12 year old Labrador has nerve damage in his back legs so we bought these to help him stand up and stay stable. For context, Velcro has a hard side and a soft side. You probably have real terms, but I hope you follow me. The hard side is sticky but the soft side is not. Apparently, whoever designed them didn't test where rugs (an extremely common household item) are found. For some reason they decided to use the hard or "sticky" part of the carpet. open velcro (receiver side) instead of soft side.
