To be clear, these bins are not 12" x 12" - they are only made for 12" x 12" paper (with some room on the sides). Dimensions: 14 1/8" x 14 5/16" (x 3 1/8") high. - When storing 12x12 paper, there is enough room on the side for a couple of pens or other small items. - The corners protrude further than sides protecting the corners of the paper from touching the plastic.The plastic is thinner than other similar products but strong enough to stack several on top of each other and hold the paper securely enough.The hinges are strong enough.BPA and acid free.- Made in the USA (manufacturing facility in Texas)- Price is good!What I don't like:- They don't fold.Of course you can technically stack them on top of each other, but they don't interlock at all. This makes them less secure than similar paper 12x12 storage boxes, otherwise it's a great compromise given the price and quality.
