The supplied template simplifies installation. With a resistance of 8 ohms, they can be connected in series or in parallel, depending on the receiver. I installed them in-line with two 8" square speakers, a 5.25" center channel and four 8" ceiling speakers (only two visible) as part of an Atmos theater upgrade. They can be painted to match the decor. were a bargain at full price, the extension makes the deal that much better.
