Update 12/21/17: I've spent a full pruning season on these reels, they've been great! Quiet and yet tight. I will lubricate them for next season and I know they will survive many more tests. Bought these to replace my badly worn spindles. These new ones seem like the perfect replacement. I read a lot of reviews about it and I was willing to swap out the mounting hardware. I drilled the holes to 5/16 like many others and installed 5/16 inch and a half bolt with flat washers and lock washers. They fit great. Again, I've added lube in the reviews I've read as others have done. They are very quiet now and I hope to cut with them for many, many hours.
