Thank god I had a metric faucet! This is an exact replacement for the one on my John Deere L110 deck. In fact, it would have been a little better if the oiler had been missing from the original. The ad didn't mention it, but when it did, I found that the mounting holes were empty pilot holes to poke into. I finally found out I had the correct metric faucet and the rest of the installation went smoothly. New nuts for the blade bolts were included.

Spindle hub mounting holes not cut. You need to tap or buy some bolts and nuts which are not included. LUBRICATE HUB BEFORE INSTALLATION. Use a grease gun and apply 30 pressures from the grease gun. Don't be afraid to try this setup, pretty simple stuff. A judgment on overall quality. The new spindle seems a bit noisy after 2-3 hours of operation. Made in China, so bearing quality will be a key factor in the future. THE PRICE IS CORRECT AND THE DELIVERY WAS 3 DAYS.

Update 12/21/17: I've spent a full pruning season on these reels, they've been great! Quiet and yet tight. I will lubricate them for next season and I know they will survive many more tests. Bought these to replace my badly worn spindles. These new ones seem like the perfect replacement. I read a lot of reviews about it and I was willing to swap out the mounting hardware. I replaced both of the original spindles on my John Deere L111 with these Stens and they fit great. I was able to use the old tapered bolts to re-thread the new spindles to secure them to the cutter deck. I purchased John Deere reel bolts from Grainger just in case, but the replacement bolts were longer than the stock bolts, nor were they tapered, so I'm not sure the replacement bolts will work. Well suited to replace John Deere L111 spindles. They fit perfectly and have grease fittings for longer life. Take my advice; Order a replacement screw kit listed as "often ordered together". When your existing spindles have been in place for a while, their mounting bolts will become one with the spindle housings. A ratchet wrench will most likely NOT remove these bolts, and hitting them with an impact wrench will most likely shear off the heads. The screw holes on the replacement spindles are…

Ordered in April 2014 to replace worn out reels on a Deere L110 purchased in 2003 with grease and mowed them for the entire 2014 growing season. In the fall I noticed a blade was slightly tilted again , resulting in a height difference of about 1/2 inch. I have Bermuda shorts and I cut them 2 inches, so 1/2 inch is a big difference.
