Review on Enhanced Stens Spindle Assembly 285-093 | Compatible with John Deere L100-L130 & GY20050, GY20785 | Ideal Replacement Component by Tony Wylie

I replaced both of the original spindles on my John Deere L111 with these Stens and they fit great. I was able to use the old tapered bolts to re-thread the new spindles to secure them to the cutter deck. I purchased John Deere reel bolts from Grainger just in case, but the replacement bolts were longer than the stock bolts, nor were they tapered, so I'm not sure the replacement bolts will work. I was able to apply grease to both spindles through the Zerk fittings after leaving the grease boot in place. I noticed that one spindle had some up/down play, but after I secured the spindle to the mower deck and slid onto the mower blade, tightening the pulley removed the up/down play.
