I took this car camping as an alternative to an ice box and it works great. It comes with a pair of dividers and blue freezer bags. The good thing is that ice is not needed for chilling. It works via the 12V cigarette lighter in the car. He kept everything nice and cool while the machine was running. I turned it off at night and the items were still cool in the morning. I tested it unpowered with my similarly sized Coleman cooler. I put an ice pack in each and waited a day, then measured the water in each. This cooler actually insulates a bit better than my Coleman, which I have to get iced every day or two. I really like that the vent is on top so you can keep it on the car floor and not worry about the vents getting blocked. You can completely remove the top to easily clean the bottom. It's surprisingly light for an electric cooler and easy to transport. It's big enough to hold wine bottles or a 2 liter bottle of soda on the non-motor side. I wish it was a little better insulated if your machine went down, but then again it worked better than my regular cooler. I think next time I will add some ice to cool it better when the power goes out. I also wish it was a bit bigger but really no complaints. Nice little cooler. I'm glad I bought it.
