These containers are great. A few years ago my wife and I received the same set as a gift and eventually decided to add more and get rid of the cheap Gladware and Ziploc containers. The ability to fold the lids for storage is great if you can organize your closet. Otherwise, I usually cover the container with a lid, throw it in the closet and wait for an avalanche the next time I open the closet. In terms of use, they are great and the cost is relatively low for comparable containers. We've had many other containers (including Rubbermaid's) that break when falling out of the freezer and onto the floor. On the other hand, they return to normal, as if nothing had happened. We put them on the bottom shelf of the dishwasher with no problems. They have a great seal and if you pull on a corner and press on the center of the lid when resealing the container you can create a slight vacuum inside to keep your food fresher a little longer. The only reason removing a star is because it works in the microwave. Most things usually work fine and never have problems. However, over time or with certain foods (e.g. spaghetti sauce) they tend to cause the same bubble melting as most microwavable containers. Given that this happens despite being microwaveable, I can't give them the full 5 stars. Otherwise an excellent product.
