I find pre-wound reels incredible. Since you mostly use white bobbin threads for machine embroidery, they save time and money because they are completely filled and perfectly wound. I even bought some prewound colored thread to use for the lace because the bobbin thread is showing. I have a new machine AND I'm new to machine embroidery, but my teacher and owner groups on FB also highly recommend Fil-Tek. I have sent them back as per below but not because there is anything wrong with them. I've never had to worry about the class or type of coil, and most of the respondents to my question of "what type" to the owner groups answered me with either an L or 15 without specifying what they meant. A few people have reacted negatively to spoolless coils, but that didn't bother me. I was concerned about what I will explain below. I didn't get a chance to try the tiny needle before the return time was up so I couldn't cover the cost if it didn't work and reordered a box of 15 with a spool. I have no reason to believe they aren't as great as other reviewers say. But if you're new to prewinding, make sure you know what quality and type of bobbin your machine's MODEL uses, as it will make a world of difference. You could easily buy a box of Ms if you didn't read the description. This is the letter L that requires this accessory. 15s no. Once I have the replacement box ready I will try this one out. 144 additional coils are more than enough. I sent them back unused. I have a new Babylock Solaris that consumes 15/L. I bought pre-wound bobbins after being told that white bobbins are fine for most machine embroidery projects. They hold more thread and wind more smoothly than those you wind on the machine. efficiency and cost savings. I became concerned after sending an inquiry to 2 user groups about the lack of a plastic spool and receiving a very large number of replies suggesting that this is a hotly debated topic among owners. L requires the use of the very small pin insert that comes with the machine to gradually increase the height of the bobbin in the bobbin case. Some users have reported that paste has not been used with good results. I bought these because of the manufacturer, highly recommended, not realizing that it didn't come with a spool. There were as many who reported problems with it as there were those who said they performed great. I'm clearly new to machine embroidery as I'm new to this machine. I need to buy a significant amount of new consumables and I can't be rude about wasting that sum of money. The price per spool seems quite reasonable, it's too much to waste. I watch more instruction videos than I sew so I could easily exhaust my 30 day return before realizing they don't work. I returned them and bought a box of 15 with a plastic roll for the same quantity and price. They match the height of the spools that come with the machine so I feel more confident with them. The seller, a large number of users and professional embroiderers who teach videos have told me that these expensive high-tech machines are peculiar in that they "like” brands of thread. I find that really strange; they are machines, and are they not made using thread? But users of Solaris MODEL groups, not brands, insist their machines "like" different brands of thread as if they were food. So I can't personally comment on my experience with this coil, but I can report from many users in 2 groups of Solaris owners using and loving it. I can also report that others will not try them for the same reason I did: fear of that little needle. Make sure you know if you want your machine to work with this coil and that you have a tiny pin insert to add height if needed.
