Review on Accurate Monitoring with AUTO METER 2391 Autogage Electric Mini Oil/Volt/Water Gauge by Dustin Gabrielle

Revainrating 5 out of 5

AutoMeter delivers another set of quality gauges!

Simple instructions make it easy to connect these sensors. This can take a long time, but it's not that difficult. I connected all three sensors and their displays together to simplify the wiring. Start with one sensor with the positive wire, connect it to the positive of the next sensor, and finally to the third sensor. Once you have connected the positive leads of all three gauges together, you can only connect 1 wire to the coded power supply. I did the same to the ground, connecting the ground terminals of all 3 gauges together, as well as all 3 ground wires for the lights - all connected with 1 wire to a good chassis ground. Then there are 2 sensors. Cables under the hood and a cable to the headlights. One for the temperature sensor, the other for the oil pressure sensor. The lighting wire can be connected to the light panel fuse or any wire that receives power when the parking lights/headlamps are on. The panel that contains the sensors is a quality piece, but I didn't have the space to use it. I made a custom panel to fit the space I have and cut out holes for the sensors. The small 1-1/2" size was perfect for my application. The gauge kit includes all the necessary sensors and basic materials for mounting and connecting wires. The kit does not include any wires. I have been using Autometer/Autogage gauges since more than 20 years They have always been considered quality products.
