We use these indoors as a kids computer desk because of the built in stand and cup holder. Continuous. Cozy. It's a bit tricky getting it back into the folded position - there's a trick for that: first I make a side table, and then I stretch the seat fabric. The kids/wife tried to put pressure on the legs, which might work could break the legs. I found the chair snaps into place fairly well when I open it up a bit and then press on the seat fabric. Then, as mentioned above, pull the seat cover up to "push" it out of its locked position.
