Review on Espresso Highboy TV Stand by Convenience Concepts Big Sur by Julie Lorig

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Functional and understated looking

If you've ever assembled Ikea furniture before, this cabinet will be easy to assemble: it's held in place by cam locks and dowels. You will need a #2 Phillips screwdriver. The assembly instructions are clear and well structured. Pay attention to the front and back when assembling the unit: I accidentally put the middle shelf back and didn't realize it until after I'd tightened all the cams, so a bit of a waste of time but not a big deal. I found it convenient to use an impact wrench when driving the rear, not because the screws were hard to come by, but because there were 16 of them. to pull it down to the crossbar. I simply clamped the top with two clamps and inserted the angle bracket. It worked pretty well. As others have noted, the block isn't deep enough to accommodate larger audio equipment, so I cut out an 18" x 8" square hole with a jigsaw. There were many questions about the dimensions of this part, and the answers ranged from "I don't know" to "about [any wrong answer]". So here are the dimensions at 1/16" from bottom to top: 36" Top: 36"W x 15 1/2"D Body: 33 5/8"W x 14 3/8" Center Shelf Opening: 7 3/ 8" H x 30 7/8" W Middle Shelf Interior: 9 3/8" H x 13 1/2" Main Compartment: 20 3/8" H x 13 1/2" Legs: 3 1 /4" from bottom to bottom of cabinet body (in case you want to shorten it) Doors: 15 1/4" W x 20 7/8" Shelf Pin Centers: 7 3/4"", 10" 12 7/16" from bottom of main compartment
