I am a "cheater" and I take my kids to cosplay and anime shows. I dress with them. As a mother, I have to carry my things and hers. I wanted a black backpack that wouldn't clash with my suit and I wanted it to be big enough but not big enough for hiking. I have one and no thanks, that's too much for a convention. I was concerned it might be too small but was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package. That's exactly what you need! The material is very soft but durable. There was no bad smell. Came in the dust bag. It's spacious! It goes with our water, keys, phones, makeup kits, snacks, and maybe even discarded costume pieces that broke during the convention. It doesn't have padded shoulder straps, but I didn't expect that from a stylish backpack. However, it is convenient. Lots of space in the straps. If you are taller or even very tall, this will suit you. If you are small it will suit you. They did an excellent job in all sizes. I give five stars because they exceeded my expectations. There are many five star reviews here so feel confident in your purchase. This is the perfect medium sized backpack. Not as small as a children's bag and not as big as a backpack. Just the right size for someone who not only has lipstick and cell phone, but also doesn't need to take a week's ration of food with them, haha! Enjoy!
