That was a smart purchase. I saw cacti in all the BuzzFeed articles and originally wanted to buy them. After reading reviews about needles falling from a cactus, I turned my attention to these fish. I've read some reviews saying the eyes would fall off or the needles would break but I've had mine for 4 months now and wash it 3 times a week and mine looks almost new. On the white, the tips of the feathers began to turn black, but it doesn't matter to me. I haven't noticed any black spots on my dryer and my clothes wash well. I can't comment on how well it actually works to reduce drying time on a regular wash like clothes, but I've seen an improvement on my duvets and sheets. My duvets don't knot and dry more evenly. They make noises during the cycle as if something is going missing in your machine. After a while I got used to the sound but it's noticeable so be prepared. I think they're really cute and fun to use, so that's enough for me to make this purchase a happy one.
