I broke my big toe this summer and was looking for something that could offer a little more protection than the boot I got from the orthopedist which was very soft and unprotected at the top was. (Why those ugly boots don't have a protective toe cap I'll never know. You already look like Frankenstein in that crazy boot, you might as well have some protection while you're in it.) I found that I lifted the boot's foam and adding a little bit of glue is the perfect way to complete my Frankenstein look! It also gave me the VERY needed protection while on vacation. On several occasions I've been grateful to put on a boot after being hit by unsuspecting tourists. I was very happy that I had it and it was absolutely worth the money!
