Review on Leick 82420 Mission Computer Writing Furniture by Amanda Rochon

Sturdy construction, loose screw, aesthetic appeal

Bought this table as a student looking for something stronger and hopefully more durable than cheap local throwaways. in madness. At the time of writing this article I have owned this table for 3 months. The pluses would be the beautiful finish, the solid wood construction and the simple yet delightfully practical design: the retractable armrests give me everything I need to store my organizer. and the lamp is on, making room for my 17 inch gaming laptop, my mouse pad and lots of homework and some stuff on the desk. There is a drawer which is great for storing papers and small items. Even better, you can die cut the front and turn it into a flat platform for extra space and functionality. Looking at some reviews complaining that the drawer isn't big enough for a laptop and mouse, that's a true statement, but I honestly don't think working in that position would be very comfortable , considering you'd be looking at the monitor less level and closer to your knees (and then maneuvering awkwardly around your laptop so you don't have to push the drawer back every time you need to pick something up off the desk). Just place your laptop on the table and consider using a drawer for doodling notes or a graphics tablet if you have one. I don't want to lie either: when I was a student, I also ate a few noodles or drinks lying on the edge of the carton. If you do this too, be careful not to accidentally push the drawer in, lest everything fall to the floor like a hot greasy mush. Illustrator. It's not surprising, but it's definitely useful if you keep various electrical devices (e.g. a lamp) on your desk all the time. It keeps me from kicking wires into an ungodly mess and makes vacuuming a lot easier. Now for the big cons: Delivery can be questionable. When I first received the package I was slightly disappointed to see that one of the screws had come loose (along with some wood dust and unfortunate splinters lining the package). I guess it came out somewhere when it left the factory and came to my house. No big deal - I grabbed the faulty part and screwed it back in, but it's a minor thing that can be annoying considering I could accidentally step on the part if it falls to the ground or if it dies Stability of my desk affected. . Actually, this is a small complaint about many other things that could have gone wrong, but I think it's important to point it out. The assembly is not a problem. If a 5'2" college kid can do this with minimal effort, you should be able to. Just read the instructions and you can't go wrong as this literally puts the parts in place and then puts a few screws in where they should be. Sure, I had an athletic background in high school, but I think it's safe to say that nothing is too heavy to lift or maneuver. The result: a beautiful table, solid wood, an elegant drawer, cable organizer, retractable arms. , shipping can be crappy and knock out screws, easy assembly. I use this table every day. So far it's pretty cool.
