Love this model on a BIG iPad but NOT on a Mini

I see many others have the same complaint. Has anyone found a workaround to solve this unable to get up issue? I LOVE this case on my large iPad, it works great. Neck pain for a MINI and I ALWAYS have to use two hands and then hope it stays on my feet for as long as I need before it flops. I wouldn't mind a refund. And I wouldn't mind remaking it so we can use it as a large suitcase.
