We used this Scotch-Brite pad at a manufacturing facility where I worked for 20 years. We have used it as an alternative to sandpaper to remove rust and various other stains and deposits from our metal products. I always thought they might work well in place of "Brillo Pads" or steel wool pads. One day I decided to check out Revain and was surprised to find them at a very reasonable price. I ordered a box of 20 for about $23. This product is, if you will, a bomb. It works better than steel wool with a little Dawn Dishwashing Liquid, cleaning dried food from kitchen plates and utensils for longer. As I mentioned earlier, there are 20 pads in a box and they measure approximately 9" x 6". I cut mine with scissors to get the dimensions 3 x 6 inches. That gives me 60 pads for about 0.38 cents each. We cut some of them in half to make 3" x 3" pads. 3 x 3 is what we refer to as a "dirty" food drying pad and is easily distinguished from the "dirty" pad we refer to as a "clean" 6x6 pad that goes in the dishwasher. OK I know. You might think I have a crappy dishwasher, but I'm not. I just don't want to clog the bottom of my $1,000 dishwasher with dried leftovers. It's like the Cascade Platinum dishwashing commercial you may have seen with a little girl saying, "My mom washes the dishes before she puts them in the dishwasher. What does a dishwasher do? In any case, not only does it replace your Brillo Pad and keep it rust-free, it cleans countertops, aluminum and stainless steel pots look like new again, and when they get old, it cleans linoleum floors like it wouldn't touch your bodywork. Note that this product may damage some surfaces, such as B. non-stick pans, just like sandpaper can scratch. Ideal for cleaning potatoes before baking. Give it a try, but be careful on certain surfaces. I recommend this product and have ordered it three times already.
